Sustainable Energy

We are facing an ever increasing need for energy which we are still mainly generating from fossile fuels.  These resources are naturally limited to what has been created over billions of years and furthermore create the emission of Carbon Dioxide into our atmosphere, in turn leading to significant changes in that atmosphere.  Although very hard to quantify exactly, It is widely agreed in the scientific community that one of these effects is a warming of the planet with a number of undesired consequences.  The only way to reverse this trend and secure energy supply beyond the horizon as imposed by the non-renewable resources is to develop sustainable energy sources that do not deplete over time and do not have the side-effect of emitting large quantities of CO2.  Specific areas of interest are sustainable energy generation, Energy Storage and high efficiency transmission and conversion systems
